Dwayne E. Hickman Sr., Executive J.D., is a retired United States Army Soldier and the author of The Journey of a Soldier: Memoirs of a Kidd from Akron. Over the course of 21 years in the Army, Dwayne served with honor and dedication, committing himself to the defense of this great nation and the soldiers who stood beside him.
Following his military career, Dwayne continued his service to the community through thirteen years with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and the TECO police academy, both in Kissimmee, Florida, where he worked to protect and serve the citizens of Osceola County.
A lifelong defender of freedom and justice, Dwayne deepened his understanding of the legal principles that safeguard the rights of all Americans by earning his Executive Juris Doctor degree from Concord Law School, where he graduated as a Distinguished Scholar. His life’s work—both in uniform and beyond—reflects his steadfast belief in service, integrity, and the enduring pursuit of justice.
